In perfect SI style, the celebration wasn't just a journey that retraced memories and emotions of the 100 years, but an unmissable appointment to plan future activities.
This October started for Soroptimist International with an extraordinary celebration: its 100th birthday!
Although the current world situation hinders face-to-face meetings, this hasn't prevented SI from bringing together virtually all the members of each Federation from 1st to 3rd October 2021.
They were three intense days dedicated to the work done by Soroptimists to transform the lives of women and girls around the world and to represent their official global voice.

In this regard, the members signed up for the discussion sessions that took place over the 3 days of the event and were organized by a main speaker around key points.
These sessions were a great source for inspiration:
to get in touch with Soroptimists from all over the world;
to share the path taken by each club;
to make known the new forms of meeting that break down the barriers of time and place and that have been undertaken by the e-clubs. And this is what some members of the EmpowerNet Milano e-club who have participated in the centenary did, bringing with enthusiasm their testimony on the birth of the e-club and on the management of services, all in virtual mode;
to promote the projects presented by the African Federation, which attended for the first time at an international event;
to develop future projects starting from interactive polls carried out to evaluate the impact of SI on the female universe and at the same time to analyze the new problems that afflict the daily life of women.
In an overview of video-messages and pictures of friendship and sisterhood alternating with discussion rooms, the Centenary was an impressive time to commemorate the 100th anniversary and to plan a Bright Future for and with Women.
